This isn't IMAX though, that's a different kind of film stock altogether.The print stock has a look to it. Plus, there are still GT screens that haven't upgraded to dual laser (like the BFI IMAX in London) so they can't do digital 1.43:1. It's either 70mm film or 1.90:1 Xenon or single laser. I saw Dune 2 at Metreon on Sunday, 1.43:1 dual laser presentation. It was absolutely phenomenal! But I went to see Tenet 70mm last night, and the 5 min Dune preview that was spliced onto the Tenet reel looked... bad. Like shockingly bad. Muted colors, lack of detail (especially in close-up shots of faces), and significantly worse brightness ...Personally, I think the best options are either going to be to see it in 5/70mm at Music Box Theatre like you mentioned or to go to a 2.39:1 Dolby Cinema. Since you prefer recliners, I'd recommend Dolby. Village Crossing has a really good 2.39:1 Dolby. EMX is also a nice choice!
