To preface this I'm a step van driver who regularly gets routes that are 300+ packages and 200 stops. I'm definitely not the quickest at my company, but I get about 25-30 stops an hour, not bad. Yesterday my pick list said 22 totes and 35 overflow, which is ridiculous, but like I said I have routes that look like that all the time.Let's talk about an Amazon drivers reality. While the platform is plugged into open exchanges (AdX, Rubicon, Appnexus, MoPub, etc.) the main value prop is access to Amazon's first-party shopper data (split between "In-Market" and "Lifestyle" audiences) AND being able to serve ads on Amazon.com / IMDB / Amazon Publisher Services (APS).Your DSP can give you a raise anytime, and some have even after the $1.50 hr. At dispatch we can switch out routes, for example giving a slower driver 120 stops and a faster driver 190 because we know they can handle it. If dispatch is good at what they’re doing, they know how excels in certain areas.

Hey, so very recently at my station DLA9 in Irvine, my DSP issued through amazon shorts, apparently they’re doing uniform/van audits now, the uniforms we have consist of the amazon reflective vest, amazon shirt, & amazon shorts or pants. Flex is at a $18 / hr flat rate and in the app you have to look for "blocks". A 4hr block is $72 and packages vary on what they have. Flex currently and depending on the area deliver what was missed by the DSP or what was returned. If you get hired by Amazon directly as a Delivery Associate, you will be paid a minimum of $15/hr, your paycheck will come from Amazon, you will be an Amazon employee, and you will get certain benefits of being an Amazon employee, like life insurance and 401k.
