Background check question. I applied for Amazon Flex (different I know) weeks ago and just a day ago got a letter saying I failed the background check (I have a clean criminal record but I have a few tickets - one stop sign from 2-3 years ago, and two speeding tickets that I got reduced to non-moving violations- also about a year old).If you are hard up for cash and need a job a DSP is a very viable option. You will start making a living wage in a hurry. It is a real grind. You will be exhausted at the end of a shift- especially the first few weeks. Just don’t look at it as a long term option. To preface this I'm a step van driver who regularly gets routes that are 300+ packages and 200 stops. I'm definitely not the quickest at my company, but I get about 25-30 stops an hour, not bad. Yesterday my pick list said 22 totes and 35 overflow, which is ridiculous, but like I said I have routes that look like that all the time.Let's talk about an Amazon drivers reality. Hourly rate is $20 an hour, monthly income after taxes $2,656 rent in hell (Arizona) for a studio apartment $1,100 a month groceries $500 a month, Internet $94 a month, phone bill $90 a month, car insurance $110 a month, gas $80 a month, health insurance $200 a month + $150 cash on extras like Netflix ...Most DSPs aren't transparent about bonuses. You either get them or you don't. Amazon doesn't require them so unfortunately they can just do whatever they want. I'd definitely ask them about it though. Reply reply More repliesMore replies. Wassup y'all so I worked 57.5 hours last week at 16.50 base pay then supposedly I got 175$ in bonuses, my ...This subreddit is for Amazon Flex Delivery Partners to get help and discuss topics related to the Amazon Flex program. If you're looking for a place to discuss DSP topics, please head over to r/amazondspdrivers.The simplest act of the job, delivering packages, is easy and downright enjoyable. It's everything surrounding it that sucks, and it's the reason that the turnover rate for Amazon DSP's is so bad that Amazon is worried that they're running out of people to hire. You will be overworked and underpaid, if not because of your contractor but because ...So I've been working for an Amazon DSP as a walking courier for about a week now. The way it works is that a truck unloads a few hundred packages at 12pm, then all of the walkers spread out into the immediate area and deliver the packages door to door. We have until 7pm to deliver these packages, but if we get them done before that time we get ...Tyvm, I already do nearly everything on this list, except I forget about the damn hard cornering. Anyhoo, also, Do sort out totes - boxes from totes go in the passenger seat, & I have a box in between seats for my bags/envelopes. I also sharpie the numbers from the yellow driver tag. Just the last 2 of the bottom 4 numbers. This is how much the rates are on average from my personal experience: 2 hour shift: $42 3hour shift:$60-$75 4 hour shift: $80-$95 4 - 4.5- $106 Sometimes if the warehouses are desperate for drivers the rates shoot up. One time I got paid $120 for a 4 hour shift. I hope this helps.11. ElectricalTeacher421. • 10 mo. ago. I feel you lol. I didn't choose it because of social anxiety but goddamn not having to talk to people is a huge plus. As someone who used to work in retail, not being around people all day is great. 33. PaperCasts. • 10 mo. ago.I like delivering but just started hating amazon and their DSPs so I went to fedex and I feel a lot more independent now, make more, don’t do rescues and only spend about 6 hours a day on the job , I thrive in isolation I just hate dealing with people that suck. Reply reply. Parking-Rutabaga9713. •.Just look for a different DSP. There are plenty of DSP's that will let someone work 3 days straight. Go on indeed, search amazon driver, look through the ads to see if any mention part time. Apply. When one calls you ask if they can accommodate you and if they say no move to the next. 1.Amazon is better but all I know is that warehouse workers are pinecones. If your IQ is higher than 10 them you're probably gonna end up managing them quick, so nice for you. I take DSP instead. No micro managing, no one bothers me through the day and I work 5hrs a day but get paid for 10.ElysiumIsFallin. •. Nothing, dsp is a shit job. People will steal your rm shifts if you're not early. Count on having to rescue if you finish early and don't plan on ever getting off on time. Oh and loading your van in ther morning sucks because Amazon has you scan everything as you load it without permitting the proper time to do so, so you ...If amazon take away group stops, everyone should be able to finish earlier than attended. I think the max should be 150 stops with no more than 200 packages. That way, so many drivers can take actual breaks and get home at a decent time without burnout. 1.Warehouse robot collapses after working for 20 hours straight. I feel like when skynet takes over if we were decent people robots would say we're not so different you and I, and spare us. 74K subscribers in the AmazonDSPDrivers community. Probably is but, gotta protect yourself out there because Amazon sure won’t. If it were me, I’d just use a different holster. Shoulder or ankle or something, just so it’s less likely to be uncovered by moving around. If a customer can’t see it, they can ...As OP said, Amazon DSP is several years behind most other programmatic buying platforms. While the platform is plugged into open exchanges (AdX, Rubicon, Appnexus, MoPub, etc.) the main value prop is access to Amazon's first-party shopper data (split between "In-Market" and "Lifestyle" audiences) AND being able to serve ads on Amazon.com / IMDB / Amazon Publisher Services (APS).Your DSP can give you a raise anytime, and some have even after the $1.50 hr. Amazon recently mandated. Every DSP's financial situation is differerent. Van lease damage, overtime, workers comp and Sweepers etc are funded by DSP Owner. Not getting Fantastic or Fantastic Plus has huge financial consequences for DSP.I am now a manager at my DSP. I think it will be depending on your owner, supervisor, manager etc…you're free to express yourself to them. If they take it negative way, I think it's time to find a better DSP As our company, we don't force our drivers to do rescue. We ask them if they are up for it, they can always say no.Totally not worth it. You can probably sue your/all company for not making fair wage. All greedy DSP like to use this strategy. Is too get money to their pocket first. Trying to pay for lease and down payment and such. For that, when they going to pay us the fair raise wage. 1.My last was my biggest at $1,229.12 pre tax, $890.19 post tax for 51.42 hours. 40x18.50=$740 (40 hours @ base rate) 11.42x29.257=$334.12 (11.42 hrs @ overtime) $50 5th day bonus $80 attendance bonus $25 quality bonus. Edit: this was on a one week pay cycle. Reply reply.Dispatch, Amazon does a random algorithm split up by step vans and standard vans. At dispatch we can switch out routes, for example giving a slower driver 120 stops and a faster driver 190 because we know they can handle it. If dispatch is good at what they’re doing, they know how excels in certain areas.

Hey, so very recently at my station DLA9 in Irvine, my DSP issued through amazon shorts, apparently they’re doing uniform/van audits now, the uniforms we have consist of the amazon reflective vest, amazon shirt, & amazon shorts or pants. It’s either shorts or pants, and they’re “active” style. Hats/beanies must be amazon branded, too. But in the …TH3REDSP1R1T. •. Flex is at a $18 / hr flat rate and in the app you have to look for "blocks". A 4hr block is $72 and packages vary on what they have. Flex currently and depending on the area deliver what was missed by the DSP or what was returned. Some days they will have a lot, same days very little or none. It's technically 2 days, 8 hours per day but you can easily finish in 5-6 hours maybe less even. 8 hours of REPS and CHECKS. All I remember was not getting enough sleep and using what will power I had to not fall asleep during the hours of videos. 2-3 days 2 8hourish days and had like .5-1 hour for 1 day orientation. There is no time and a half for weekend work but if you work over 40 hours, the DSP will pay you time and a half. When you go to your training class, it is usually 2 days and it starts early in the morning 8am and finishes around 3-4pm. The class is taught by amazon reps that work in the warehouse and for corporate. The difference between DSP drivers and Amazon drivers is important. If you get hired by Amazon directly as a Delivery Associate, you will be paid a minimum of $15/hr, your paycheck will come from Amazon, you will be an Amazon employee, and you will get certain benefits of being an Amazon employee, like life insurance and 401k.

Now if the home just looks sketchy you're going to get shit, rightfully so. Unless there is a clear danger you need to deliver it. Call, text, call the customer (just to cover your back for compliance) prompt the reason and bring that package back. A sketchy home, hit the question mark, hit unable to deliver, no safe location. To preface this I'm a step van driver who regularly gets routes that are 300+ packages and 200 stops. I talked with the dsp owner and she said because I had 2 tickets on my driving record. One from 2019 and 2021 only 6 points on my license. I don’t have any restrictions but ig amazon didn’t approved. Well that was it no more delivering for amazon.…

Also, Amazon's attribution system for DSP is super generous. You can change this attribution setting, but be sure to do so.Undervalued Reddit stocks continue to attract attention as we head into the new year. Here are seven for your perusal. Amazon does because it indicates if the DSP is actually fulfilling their obligations, which of course shows the ineptitude of a shitty DSP. If you just quit without 2 week notice, can you work for another dsp in the future or does Amazon have something against that? You can quit and do a flex route the same day fam.
