Single wheel hubs and dually hubs are essentially the same. The axle housing on the dually axle is wider. You could run 3 inch spacers and be the right width. The hubs on the front are different between the two. They can be swapped to make it a dually. The front axle housing is the same width for single and dually. I realize that by converting to DRW doesn't make it a DRW legally, I would mainly be doing it to make it safer as far as stability and with 4.30 gears, would be a little easier on the motor. I've seen the adapters to convert SRW axles to DRW, but I'd like the dually to be functional, being able to load more weight. I just hate the blowing/sucking sensations I get when I pass/get passed by big rigs (hey, keep it clean!).The rear axle springs looked similar both had overload spring pack. The rear axle in my 01 f350 dually is a Dana 80 while the SRW axle is a sterling 10.5 so I would think at a minimum you would need to swap the axle, since my truck is only 2wd I cant comment on different the front setup is tho.
