I think if you had issues with this you were using the wrong rubber mounts, probably the first gen dodge biscuits instead of the breadvan industrial biscuits which are 1/2"+ shorter.

The in-tank pump is more than sufficient to supply pressure and volume for the P-pump on your Cummins. Also the wiring, computer, etc. worked without any modification. JimOn the axles, you need to check the gear ratio. The 4bt peak torque is in the 1700-1800 RPM range. Normal operating speed is usually kept under 2000 RPM. The engine can rev higher but fuel mileage starts to decline quickly above that speed. The 4.0 swap is definately more cost efective but myself being a retired heavy equipment mechanic I would use the 4bta, that's just me. The cummins swap is much more expensive and time consuming trying to figure which adapters to use etc but it would be more rewarding.The real reason you might want to swap a 4BT is for fuel mileage and size constants. A 4BT barely fits into an XJ Cherokee with a 6″+ lift, so a 6BT is definitely out of the question for many Jeep owners.
