Mar 9, 2015 · 1. Durability, Rubber is WAY more durable than Polyurethane. Rubber is effected very little by moisture, oil, mud, UV light, While Polyurethane is attacked by all of the above. Twist an axle too much, and polyurethane will split out from the side loading of the bolt unless you have full length bushings in the center.You should not use normal stain on top of a polyurethane finish. However, some polyurethane-blend stains are designed to be used over a polyurethane finish.

I used Energy Suspensions poly's and lubed them with the grease supplied and have no squeaks.
