IF - the flywheel is checked by a good shop for any major structural issues prior to being resurfaced it may be reusable for mild street use.

If all is good just clean it up with some 220 wet/dry in a circular motion all the way around. The idea is to only skuff it up a little, not remove a lot of metal, glazing, etc. If you sand it too much it will be out of wack. Some acetone and a rag will do wonders but its not necessary.Atleast not proparly. Most Machine Shop's can resurface a flywheel for you at a decent price. Best to get it done proparly.
