Anyway, the case takes Dexron III, so I figure I'll dump some ATF stop leak in the thing. So I grabbed a 16oz bottle for $5. The thing is, the t-case only takes about 40oz of Dexron. The instructions on the stop leak indicate that I should be using the entire 16oz bottle. That seems somewhat excessive for this application.The vehicle's only done about 12K km over the last 2-1/2 years, so even if I have to add a bit a couple of times a year that seems preferable to dropping big coin on a replacement transfer case. I have seen many like this and alot of times brand new seals still leak, as it possibly wears down the shaft slightly. Look real close right at the shift shaft seals. It will be on the driver side right where the cables attatch to shift the case. Mine leaked there when it had 17 miles on it...
