On the hinge, I got the longer 8" sleeve to go all the way thru both parts of my stacked 2x4 box. I added a "pit pin" to the latch to make sure there is no way for it to pop open. There is now a flat plate under the hinge, which the spring loaded pin catches to stop it from swinging open too far. I'll have finished pics late Sat (hopefully)3) Swing Lock-out/open assist. My next one will use a spring-ram to assist and hold it open or something like that.
