Bongtastic. 72 posts · Joined 2012. #4 · Feb 20, 2021. There is a short block recall for this motor oil problem. I had the dealer replace the short block under warranty, also have a 2013 crosstrek. They did an oil consumption test on it to confirm it was burning oil. call up your dealer and ask about it.My low oil light has been coming on (not low oil pressure light). I stop and check it after 10 minutes and the level is totally normal. This has been happening for about 3 months. I even just completed a fresh oil change yesterday, topped it off, and the light is still on. Anyone else experience this problem. 2014 Subaru Forester 2.5. 72K. Like.
