Looks like this is a M8x1.25 bolt. UPDATE: So after digging, this actually all originated because of the skid plate. I pulled it off and looked at each hole. There are some quality control issues for sure. The rear two holes are large enough to accommodate the bolts. The front two however (on mine) were too small and two different sizes and shapes.Rather than a skid plate. And it visually fills in a gap. The 10mm bolt holding the plastic shield you snapped off only needs 6 inch pounds of torque. It's good to use a torque wrench on the under-engine plates, and anti-seize on the threads. The frame is threaded. You remove the 2 bolts at the back end (See post 19, small 2 bolts bottom of skid) of the TRD skid plate and replace them with the longer 8 x 1.25 50mm. Dec 27, 2015 · 87-06 YJ and TJ Transfer case skid plate nutsert replacement kit. After they arrive in the mail, just support your t-case skid and then cut the bolts. With the tranny supported, drop the skid and then take a grinder and remove the rest of the nutsert/bolt. Be sure not to grind into the frame.
