knock sensor replacement on a Nissan Frontier 3.3 VG33EG66, Knock Sensor 2, is the right (towards passenger side, back (rear) of engine), long (760mm) green sensor. With car on jack, easy to get to. Heat shield (3 bolts, 10mm hex), (axle heat shield, 2 bolts 16mm hex). Sensor bolt: 13mm hex, torque (seems to be critical): 20 Nm. Also: cleaned the block surface where sensor sits.Disconnect battery earth lead. 3. Raise front of vehicle. WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands. 4. Remove fixings securing underbelly panel and remove panel. 5. Disconnect multiplug from KS.
