If you plan on using any kind of heat producing devices repairing the gas tank, buy your self some dry ice and fill the tank at least a third of the way up with dry ice. Use brake cleaner or acetone inside and outside so there is no oil from the tank in there. Then use jb weld Or jb water weld.Replacement tank was $144.00. I used crc brakeclean and some emery paper to clean the tank up. This kit was 23 dollars, and I have used it again on another tank last week. There is more then enough fiberglass and chemicals to do a few holes. I have use these kits on trimmer and blower plastic. Does the job.
