At about 35,000 miles, I decided to bring it in because the front pads were at about 2mm. Turns out the left-front mechanism was gunked up and not releasing.or light grinding. People hear and describe things differently. Driving straight the light scrathing was more subtle, taking a turn more pronounced. First I thought it was the rear brakes, then I was certain it was the fronts. I had my wheels and brakes off and apart so many times I've lost count.
