However I shot and fondled a co-workers P30L and spent double what a VP9 is worth without hesitation. For me the two are in different classes. Not fond of the reset on the P30 but I still preference it to the VP9 Trigger as a whole.The trigger is heavy, long and generally unsatisfying. Haven't tried the M9A1, but between the P229 and the P30L, the SIG trigger is miles better and very easily upgraded. If this isn't an issue, then the P30L is surely the way to go. It's reliable as heck and won't let you down.

The P2000 is very closely proportioned to a USP Compact (which I also own). The P2000 will have a slightly shorter slide and grip frame than the P30, and is roughly the size of a G19 if you're looking for a common comparison firearm. Both the P2000 and the P30 are hammer fired and can be optioned with many different trigger types.
