So it sounds like a very unusual failure. They are estimating $1800-1900 in parts and $1500-1800 in labor costs. A new replacement motor from GM is $7200 installed, I don't have an est for a re-manufactured motor. Be careful with a dirty engine tho you may unseat more gunk with a flush and push it through the engine causing more issues.
