The shot loading is not working as it should. I am using #6 shot, 1 1/8 oz. The charge bar does not slide easily to the right to drop the shot. It has to be forced. Also the shot does not alway drop completly into the hull. When I move the hull the rest of the shot falls.

Mar 22, 2024 · Estate find . This is the old style Mec 600 Jr. conversion kit to change the reloader over to a 20 gauge shotgun shell. Please use picture to determine if this is what you are looking for before bidding. Also make sure you see all parts needed for conversion in case something is left out that is required as this is all that came in the box. Continuing my saga about getting my 600 Jr. back to cranking out shotshells. I'm going to need your help {hs# with this post. Here are the particulars. 1 1/8 oz bar. Weighed average of 5 drops at 1 1/16 oz with #8's, not sure if chilled or hard shot. MEC #34 Bushing. Weighed average of 5 drops at 20.1 gr. of Green Dot.Slide the carrier up until the crimp tool contacts the base of the shotshell. Pull the handle of the MEC jr down until the crimp is complete. Remove the shotshell from the MEC jr. As your loader comes from the factory the adjustment should be correct for most shells. The shells were coming out looking domed on top. I think the crimp punch/die assembly may have been what my dad replaced (he said parts were missing and he ordered replacements) before he gave it to me and that the settings are just way off.
