Jul 13, 2021 · So I’m looking at 315/70r17 tires and want to know anyone’s thoughts on the BFG K02 vs Goodyear Wrangler duratracs vs Toyo Open Country AT3 vs Nitto ridge grapplers this is solely based on street driving including winter driving in Canada, what is the best in terms of quality, road noise and comfort, price isn’t really a concern of mine ...The Wrangler Duratrac managed to outperform the All-Terrain T/A KO2 in dry braking, stopping 3.9 meters shorter when decelerating from 100 km/h (62 mph) to a complete stop. With limited surface contact and a large block pattern, the All-Terrain T/A KO2 recorded the worst dry braking performance among the nine competitors.Goodyear DuraTrac can surely use some sidewall lugs. Being a tire engineer, in my opinion, the Toyo Open Country AT3 is a better tire for highways, out of the two. The tire provides a more responsive steering and offers better fuel economy. On the other hand the Goodyear Duratrac has a rugged design that presents a more powerful off road biting.I ran Duratracs for years (on Tacoma and then Tundra). They get noisy, and regular rotations are a must. For a long time they were by far the #1 AT for winter traction (and KO2 is one of the worst). For MUD the choice because easy for me. The Goodyears have nice aggressive side lugs for that stuff. The KO2 seem to be in the market for all a/t tires. The Goodyears are a hybrid of a mud tire and a a/t tire. Just my opinion. If you could stay away from mud, I would lean towards the KO2 because of ice traction. *IMHO.Price.
