So a weapon with 0.5 cut and 0.5 blunt will earn half as much exp per hit as a 1.0 cut and 0.0 blunt weapon. And it's not the amount of cut that matters, it the relative amount to blunt. Dex 40+ is a good start before using heavy weapons like planks, and falling suns. I would say 50+ for fragment axes.
