I don't know how to accurately describe the sound, but something along the lines of a rattling noise, or the sound a leaf would make flapping in the wind.Oct 22, 2012 · Q: My 2008 Honda Accord makes a rattling noise when I start the engine. And since you just had a timing belt job done, either the timing wasn't set correctly or the belt tensioner is loose and the belt skipped teeth on the cam gears.
