The other day, immediately after server restart I saw to crashes smoking so that would make sense. But there have been a few times where immediately after a restart I didn't see anything. The sound effects usually take about 60 secs from coming within 30-50m.Good News: One thing in the new DayZ update that they are implementing is crashed helicopters will remove some of the foliage near them. This helps with finding loot. When finding loot, you have to look under the helicopter and just all around it. Look in nearby grass, etc. Try going prone to look under a helicopter, but you may break your legs.…

Think about it though. DayZ takes place in former-Soviet Union nation, why the heck do all of their airfields have American assault rifles?
