This is how I flush the heater core on any vehicle, for 2 reasons. One being, it's much easier to flush them next time because they will most likely get fill...a) carefully rev the engine in park/neutral up (3-4000 rpm should be enough) for short spurts. b) take it on a drive where you do some hard accelerating. Sometimes that will turn the water pump hard enough to clear a chance obstruction from the (hard to get to) heater core. The return is to the metal pipe that goes to the front of the engine. I have flushed mine by disconnecting both hoses and pouring distilled water into one until it runs out the other.So after reading and researching, looks like a proper heater core flush/clean is the thing to do (I have burped system already, little increase in temp). The problem is , there is a lot of discussion about the flushing (and reverse) being a great solution, but no one shows how to do it or explains it to my 5th grade level intelligence.
