Ok thanks. The reason I ask is the filter has a chip in it that the filter board reads. If the old filter works, there is a problem with the new filter unfortunately. I recommend ordering a new filter, this is the part number XWFE, I also recommend getting it from ge. The chip in the filter is faulty.
