The head unit supplies sufficient power for the rear speakers, and there are hot speaker wires behind the panels in the rear pillars already. After reading several threads regarding speakers...it looks like it's pretty much between two...Pioneer or Infinity. Infinity Kappa 6X9's have an RMS of 110w and sensitivity of 95dB. Pioneer Rev Series 6x9's (TS-A6971R) are 40w and 93dB. Infinity Kappa 3.5's are 35w and 95dB. Pioneer Rev 3.5's are 15w and 88dB.Also, 5.25 hits the curve in the pillar pretty hard, so I think it would look pretty funky. You might get around the depth problem with spacer rings, but that will look pretty funky as well. I am currently thinking about 6.5" components in rear door (tweeter in pillars), or just 6.5 two ways in door. Hello All, My FJ didn't come with the upgraded JBL stereo so I don't have the rear speakers but bought the factory JBL small speakers that mount in the rear pillar locations.Installed Rear Backup Camera (spare tire) Latest mod. The headliner speakers are NXT drivers. They use the headliner as the speaker, that is why you don't see them. The NXT speakers wires are routed up the driver A-pillar and onto the headliner.
