These part time, chain driven transfer cases include the New Process 208, 219, 228 and 229 models.This transfer case is compact, light, durable, simple to build and capable. It features dual modes (2wd + 4wd) and dual ranges (Hi + Lo). The high range is direct drive (1:1) and the low range is 2.62:1. Ford had a divorce mount case. Driver drop and 2.74 reduction iirc. But 2wd manual would be a bit longer than 4x4, that plus DM case would be pretty long and may cause driveline angle issue. Toyota runs a really short case. But not sure if you can flip it.

I have been looking for a divorced np205 case to swap my d250 to 4wd to no avail. Found this case and although somewhat sought after and rare, is it a good idea? The NP200 is a divorced style transfer case, utilizing a jack shaft between a 2wd style transmission and the transfer case input yoke. The NP200 has a low-range of 1.97:1 and is direct drive in high. The NP200 is installed as a passenger's side drop in the M715 / M725 military Jeeps, exclusively with the T98 four-speed transmission.The axles are already swapped for D60s, but it will be very hard to put a divorced transfer case in a Ramcharger, especially with the longer pinion snout of the rear D60. With the part time D60s installed, you can use pretty much any Dodge transfer case EXCEPT the NP203.
