To add to his explanation, the connection failed message would only pop up if one of us was in the server, he could connect if I was not in the server and vice-versa. It only bugs when we both try to play.What I have tried to fix this: -Deleted my DayZ files and verified them. -Uninstalled the game (4x) and reinstalled it. -Uninstalled Steam and reinstalled it. -Deleted DZSA Launcher and tried just running it on the OG launcher but the servers are locked or undiscoverable.

You essentially have two ports per server instance that are required for full game availability. For once the game port and the steam query port. The default values for those are 2302 and 27016 (Both UDP). I just solved this problem with my game on both my laptop & pc. I had my router port forwarded with the ports 2302-2305 to run an Arma 3 server for a game night. Disabling this has cured all the connection issues. Can't hurt to check your router settings.To fix this issue, you just need to verify the game files. Not sure why you are typing in the ip. Steam->Library->Home->DayZ->Right Click Play ->Play DayZ -> MODS. If anything is selected, Click "Unload All". Add a filter if you want. Goto SERVERS, pick one from FAVORITES / RECENT / FRIENDS / OFFICIAL / COMMUNITY / LAN.
