You cannot bypass the amp if you are trying to keep the factory sub. I am pretty sure the Bose amp uses the factory wiring harness internally to output to the subwoofer. Easy but not cheap fix is a PAC RP5-GM11 or similar device - use Crutchfield to find out the exact model, but im 99% sure its the PAC RP5-GM11, and it is 99 dollars on Amazon.Seriously I detached it and rewired the stereo to the head unit using the speaker leads in the rear. The stock radio only provides a left/right signal and balance to the amp. Rear speakers and sub signal as well as fade are created in the amp. If you want to bypass it then you have to install a new radio. The amp is technically called an RCU (Radio Control Unit). The (radio) in the dash is just the controls, the actual tuner and amp are built into one unit in the trunk.
