There's a wire in the harness with a ring terminal sized to fit one of those small posts. There should be a loose wire with a ring terminal on one end that will fit the other smallpost on the solenoid.The solenoid is a boss i think part number hyd08831, I would think this solenoid would work, that is what i was given when i asked for it, and he the guy new i was putting together a western plow. can someon please help me gigure this out. There are little micro switches in the joystick to operate the solenoid.Try grounding the small wire at the solenoid for a moment,to see if it will activate the solenoid (careful,plow may move).If it moves,or the motor runs, then the problem is most likely the joystick or wiring to it.If it doesn't,then the solenoid is bad or incorrectly wired.This weird. I just had the same problem on my Boss V. Solenoid would click (so switch was working) but no go on the pump. Figured out it was the main power cable plug. My cable had gotten pushed an awkward way when I put the plow on. I pulled my connectors loose. Cleaned well & added dialectric grease. Put back together. All is working for now.…

1)Is there power coming from the ignition controlled fuse in the fuse box. those small fuse adapter clips that BOSS sends are a source of problems if not properly installed. Push down on the controller and it would go down under 100. The dealer is a 1 1/2 away, the snow has come and gone. The Boss let me down.
