The SW salesperson told me I can use the new Emerald Urethane Enamel Trim (waterborne) over oil-based paint without priming or preparation. This sounds 'ify' to me.Is there any difference between the activator used for an Acrylic Urethane Enamel paint and an Acrylic Urethane clear coat? I am shooting Kirker paint and I need some more activator, they carry two separate activators one for the ProFlo and another for the paint.

AE can be used without hardener and set up on it's own by drying. Urethane is a different product that has to be used with a hardener (it's called activator) to set up. It's relying on a chemical reaction to harden the paint and won't cure without the activator.
