In my shoes I did a 4bt/zf5 into a Jeep Cj7 and came out below $2000. It comes down completely on what you have, what your abilities are, and what you find. Just like the ZF5 rebuilt I am only into it $220.I think with your p-pumped 4BT and a manual trans you will be happiest with twin turbos. No turbo to replace the HX30 is going to be a drop in with little changes. Your HX30 matched with a 60-62mm Compressor Borg warner S300 would prob work really nicely. But keep in mind there are 2 front springs that share that weight.. The 4BT weighs about 750lbs which is about 200 more than the Jeep 6, Thats 100 lbs per side or about 1/2" more compression for the whole front end. Randy.4BT, turned up 1.5 turns on full power screw, with Super HX30w turbo, NV4500, 3.73 gears, 37" military tires. Truck weighs ~6000#, trailer another #1400. Loaded out ~1600# of scrap steel in mostly flat, some rolling hills, in 4th gear, 55-60mph.
