Hello, I have a junk Wrangler 4 cylinder with a Dana 30 front axle with 410 gears and a Dana 35 rear axle with 410 gears that I want to put in my Wrangler 6 cylinder with a Dana 30 front and rear with 370 gears. The "65" at the top is the matching number with the ring gear. The number at the bottom, the pinion depth setting, is what I can't figure out. It appears to be "4.5", but that just doesn't make sense.The Powertrax no-slip just replaces the spider gears in the stock carrier. If I'm right, then you'll only be able to make the 3.73 or 4.11 gears work with your current carrier if you run a spacer. Various opinions out there on how "bad" it is to run a spacer, but I'm with Doug -- I'd avoid it if at all possible. ...My '94 F150 4x4 351 has 3.55 gearing which has an axle code of 19. The only thing I would suggest to dissuade you is that I have seen some recommend that, if you are dissatisfied with the 3.42 enough to go to the expense of regearing, to change by at least 2 "steps". 3.42 to 3.73 is only one "step".

To switch a full time 4x4 transmission to 4.11 or 4.44 gears, you have to loose the center diff lock and switch to an EJ style transfer housing and center diff.
