If you placed ignition in ACC, the battery will drain dead, pretty quickly, in around 30 minutes or so. Not much in the way of loads operating. Starting is normal under all other conditions, including in freezing weather. 2. Crappy tires. If you don't mind replacing those, the Outback is a superb vehicle. The reason Subaru likely uses these crappy tires and batteries is not just to save a few bucks, but also to push up gas mileage. Lighter tires = slightly better mpg.
