Dec 1, 2010 · I have a 1970 Chevelle that is driving me nuts to explain! The car was manufactured in the KS Leeds plant and also has the infamous L under the paint code. The car was an automatic in the floor, has the SS dash, 2 remaining bucket seats everything else missing inside no engine or tranny. I have to respectfully disagree here as to what was depicted on the various Chevelle plant trim tags during these years and these 2 6-digit number sequences being on all GMAD plant trim tags. In 1969, only Fremont used the two 6-digit code numbers on the trim tag.
